press room2009 - Good Faith Casting, LLC Our Best Year Ever!
"Maneater" Starts Year off With a Bang!
In January, Good Faith Casting, LLC came out of the starting gate in full speed with principal casting here in Arizona for the Lifetime Television min-series movie, "Maneater," staring Sarah Chalke and directed and co-produced by Timothy Busfield.
After the speaking roles were cast, we continued casting through the end of March, putting thousands of Arizona extras to work on the project. The show aired with rave reviews in late summer and by the fall, it had garnered an Emmy Nomination. Fellow CSA Casting Directors, Tammara Billik and Jason L. Wood, who cast the stars of the show, were nominated for an Artios Award for Outstanding Casting Achievement in a Mini-series. Bravo!< To view the trailer. CLICK HERE!
Overlapping into "My Boys" Casting Overlapping our work on "Maneater," we were quickly snapped up by yet another Sony project and began casting extras for the Season #3 episode of "My Boys" which airs on TBS. We cast hundreds of Arizona actors who got to live out their dream of acting as well as living out the fantasy of running out on the ball field in a Cubs uniform.
$24 Million Dollar Movie "Piranha" in 3D Keeps Us Casting Through June of '09
Before the dust had a chance to settle, we contracted with The Weinstein Company to head up the local casting for the new 3D film, "Piranha," starring Elisabeth Shue and Christopher Lloyd, and directed by Alexandre Aja. For this job, we had to add to our staff and expand our office. I headed up the casting for the speaking roles out of my Phoenix studio, along with my casting associate, Chris Bowe and casting assistant, Joshua Erwin. We hired a second team comprised of Christopher Davis and Travis McAfee to set up our office in Lake Havasu City. Their job was to begin the process of recruiting local extras. Said to be the "Jaws of our generation" this action-packed movie is set to hit theaters August 27th 2010! Official movie Site
Rounding Out the Year!
Rounding out 2009, we cast the History Channel's movie, "Sniper: Inside the Crosshairs." We also did the casting for two independent films. Tim McSpadden's film, "Love a la Carte" to shoot here in Phoenix in 2010, and Daniel Black's "Battle Scars" which was shot in New Mexico in the Winter of 2009. Additionally, we cast a music video for Kamrun and Visual's, "I Wanna Take You Home."d
